LawCare: the mental health charity for the legal sector

LawCare is a UK based charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of legal professionals, across all levels from law students all the way up to Director level. Their mission is to promote positive mental health, prevent burnout, and foster a culture of openness and understanding within the legal community. As a legal recruitment specialist, we know just how demanding roles within the profession can be. We are delighted to be working alongside LawCare and can signpost any individuals who feel they may need the extra support. The charity can support candidates by:

  • Providing access to a support helpline by phone, email, or an online chat. They cannot offer professional advice but are there as a support service. They can assist with funding for free counselling sessions and are able to speed up the process compared to referral via a GP, should anyone need it.
  • Offering a peer support scheme where they can buddy individuals up with an employee at the charity who can offer support and guidance throughout their career whether it is changing jobs/being made redundant or general advice if individuals are going through a tough time personally/professionally.

We currently manage over 1,250 temporary workers across the business and our Compliance team fully vet on average 40 new starters per week.
