Senior Actuarial Development Analyst

We are seeking a talented professional to join the Senior Actuarial Development team of a global reinsurer as an Actuarial Development Analyst. Leverage your technical skills to develop and improve the tools available to Actuaries for calculation and reporting.

As an Senior Actuarial Development Analyst, you will be responsible for the development of the Internal Capital Model, Capital reporting tools and Reserving tools, data and systems, working closely with Reserving and Capital Actuaries/analysts across the Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to actuarial teams by explaining the technical aspects of each model and report.
  • Deliver code changes to production systems and reports, coordinating with users and change teams as needed.
  • Address and resolve live issues promptly, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of large project-based changes.
  • Contribute to performance improvements, including software upgrades such as Tyche.
  • Enhance the intellectual capital within Group Actuarial by participating in professional development initiatives and sharing specialized expertise with team members.

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of insurance experience, preferably in multiple markets.
  • 6+ Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exams passed
  • Strong technical skillset with a passion for coding.
  • Strong Excel VBA and R skills required.
  • Knowledge of Tyche, PowerBI, Python, SQL and/or Alteryx is desirable.
