We are currently working with a firm in Oxford that is looking for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advise clients on the legal aspects of buying, selling, and remortgaging residential properties.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for property transactions, ensuring all terms are clear and legally sound.
  • Handle the conveyancing process, including preparing and filing necessary documents, managing searches, and liaising with third parties (e.g., estate agents, lenders, surveyors).
  • Provide guidance on property law, including leasehold and freehold issues, planning permissions, and any potential legal concerns.
  • Review and explain legal documents such as title deeds, contracts, and mortgage agreements to clients.
  • Manage the completion of property transactions, ensuring deadlines are met and all requirements are fulfilled.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, updating them regularly on the progress of their case and addressing any questions or concerns.

The successful candidate:

  • Previous experience handling residential property transactions, including buying, selling, leasing, and remortgaging.
  • Strong understanding of conveyancing, land law, leases, and property regulations.
  • High level of accuracy in reviewing legal documents, contracts, and property titles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain legal terms and processes to clients.
