Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager for a Public Sector client in Derbyshire on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose: Procurement Manager

  • To support the Head of Procurement in the delivery of a strategically focussed, professional and efficient procurement service
  • Providing advice, support and guidance to stakeholders at all levels, using best practice procurement and supply change management principles

Main responsibilities: Procurement Manager

  • Support in implementing a Procurement Strategy
  • Manage procurement activity within an assigned area of spend
  • To support the maintenance of the contracts register
  • To develop and implement appropriate procurement strategies
  • Proactive involvement in contract negotiations with suppliers
  • Ensure appropriate reviews are carried out following contract award
  • Ensure consistency with national procurement regulations
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • To apply corporate procurement policy and procedures
  • To provide line management to the procurement officers

Person specification: Procurement Manager

  • Public Sector experience - essential
  • CIPS Qualified - Ideal
  • 3 years of procurement experience
  • Previous experience in managing the tender processes
  • Experience of providing procurement and contract management
