NQ Construction Associate

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a leading law firm in Leeds who are looking to expand their Construction team. This is a great opportunity for a keen construction lawyer to make a name for themselves.

Your responsibilities will include:

Non-contentious:

• Providing advice on and reviewing construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC)
• Assisting with drafting appointments for the professional team
• Collaborating with property and energy teams on construction-related documents
• Conducting due diligence for construction deals linked to bank transactions

Contentious:

• Advising on possible disputes during construction projects
• Representing clients in adjudications, arbitrations, and court cases, and preparing related documents
• Attending hearings and meetings with clients
• Researching legal documents and case law to ensure correct advice
• Negotiating with other parties on behalf of clients

The successful candidate will be:

• NQ construction law specialist looking for a new challenge with experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters
• Confident and self-motivated
• Motivated, a team player, commercially focused, and calm under pressure
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
