Lettings Officer

Stafford, Staffordshire

Minimum 3-Month Contract

£17.68 - £22.59 per hour

Our client, a housing organisation based within Staffordshire, is looking to recruit a Lettings Officer on a 3-month temporary contract

Daily duties of the Lettings Officer consist of:

  • Ensure vacant properties are let efficiently, in accordance with the Lettings Policy and procedures
  • Assist in ensuring the Housing Register is accurate and up to date by accurately assessing Housing Applications from applicants seeking re-housing
  • Deliver a local housing advice and information service for people in need of rehousing
  • Ensuring properties are terminated and tenants are advised of legal rights
  • Updating, assessing, and maintaining Housing registry applications
  • Allocating vacant properties accordingly
  • Pre-tenancy checks and assessments
  • Referring tenants to ensure tenancies are sustained
  • Working to minimise re-let period of voids
  • Responding to complaints

Essential experience of the Lettings Officer:

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS (or able to complete)
  • Previous experience working within Housing or Lettings
