Inquest and Claims Lawyer
Location: South East
Rate: £25 - 30 per hour (Interim/Umbrella)
Working: Hybrid (South East)
About the Inquest and Claims Lawyer Role:
Sellick Partnership are looking for a lawyer to join the small legal services team within a reputable NHS Trust in the South East.
We are looking for an experienced lawyer to provide high quality investigation, and detailed analysis of claims and inquests during an interim post for an initial 3 months.
This opportunity is hybrid working with expected attendance in the Kent area.
Key Responsibilities of the Inquest and Claims Lawyer role:
- This post holder will oversee their own case load of complex inquests, safeguarding enquiries and claims, to include investigation, statement taking, advocacy and support to the junior members of the team in giving advice and direction in their portfolio of cases, escalating to the Head of Legal Services any potential high risks to the Trust.
- They will support the team in any complex medico-legal enquiries and advice.
- The post holder will also be required to support and deputise for the Head of Legal Services (as required) in the delivery of a high-quality legal services training packages to the wider Trust.
