Legal Counsel is required to join a specialist provider of insurance services, a subsidiary of a well-known Global Reinsurance business.

About the Legal Counsel;

• Develop, negotiate, and review a range of commercial insurance agreements including insurance distribution agreements, data use agreements etc
• Draft and negotiate wordings on insurance products and related documentation
• Assisting with regulatory matters as required
• Assist the business with developing and improving insurance products
• Provide legal advice on insurance law excluding claims handling
• Collaborate with legal teams both internally and internationally across the Group
• Responsible for training with internal business functions to improve understanding of wordings, coverage, and general insurance law matters

Requirements of the Legal Counsel;

• Legally qualified preferably in the UK
• Experience working within UK insurance Law either in-house or in a private practice setting
• Candidates with experience of SII is highly desirable
• Agency or Distribution Law and/ or experience of wordings
