Housing Disrepair Lawyer or Legal Officer
Organisation: Housing Association
Salary: Up to £45k
Location: Remote or North East England
Contract: Permanent
A well-established housing association is seeking a housing disrepair specialist to join their friendly and efficient team on a permanent contract.
Our client is able to consider lawyers or non-qualified legal professionals for this post, as long as you can demonstrate sufficient experience and knowledge of housing disrepair matters. Experience of social housing is highly advantageous.
You will work as a key member of the Property Litigation Legal Team, together with the other teams within our Legal Services Department, in delivering a customer focussed service to internal colleagues.
Advice will be provided on disrepair claims, which you will run independently. Support will be provided to internal departments and in particular our maintenance colleagues in order to defend claims, prepare court proceedings and documentation as necessary.
If you are looking for progression, there is scope within this role to deputise for the team leader, by supervising and supporting more junior members of the disrepair team.
This role can be worked remote or hybrid. The housing disrepair team is based in the north east branch of the organisation so if you are not near this location then there is scope to work remotely, or visit the office less frequently.
Benefits:
The organisation is proud to be a diverse, inclusive and caring employer, and they are an accredited Disability Confident employer.
