Sellick Partnership are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Legal to join a reputable London Local Authority.
This position will begin on an initial 3-6-month contract whilst the council evaluate their long-term plans. This role will work closely with the legal services management team and will support the Monitoring Officer to maintain standards.
The successful Head of Legal will be required to:
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of five legal professionals
- Develop a good understanding of the Council's corporate plan and ensure that strategies are implemented legally
- Deal with complex matters that come across the CE's desk

The client is looking for a new Head of Legal who can add value to the Council during a period of review and change within the legal services division. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working as a Head of Legal within the public sector and a strong commercial background.
