Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Finance Officer for our Public Sector client based in South Yorkshire.
Job Summary:
- Directly support the accountants in the provision of clear, accurate and timely financial information
- Act as a single point of contact for routine financial matters
Key responsibilities - Finance Officer:
- Profile all revenue, capital, and grant budgets in accordance with the budget setting timetable
- Prepare routine budget working papers for the budget setting process
- Identify, query, and explain all revenue and grant, non-pay, current month and year-to-date variances
- Calculate all accruals, prepayments, collaboration adjustments and external recharges
- Gather, analyse, and reconcile pay data to pay budgets
- Identify current month and year-to-date variances
- Run the month-end capital reports
- Monitor Capital variances
- Carry out year-end duties
Person Specification - Finance Officer:
- Full member of AAT
- Experience of working in a financial environment
- Experience of budgetary control and year end procedures
