Employment Solicitor

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester who are looking for an Employment Solicitor to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising on and drafting employment contracts to ensure legal compliance.

• Representing clients in disputes over issues like unfair dismissal, discrimination, or harassment.

• Advising on the legal process of redundancies, termination, and wrongful dismissal.

• Providing advice on employee rights, such as holiday pay, sick leave, and working hours.

• Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

• Negotiating settlements in cases of disputes or employment-related claims.

• Advising on how to handle employee grievances and disciplinary procedures.

• Helping businesses comply with laws when transferring employees as part of a business sale or restructuring.

The successful candidate:

• 2 years PQE in Employment law

• Experience working with employers (and executives)

• Proven success in handling tribunal claims

• Great team player with strong client skills

• Open to working across offices and supporting business growth

• Good with financial management (time recording, billing)

• Trade union experience is a plus, but not required
