Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester who are looking for an Employment Solicitor to join their team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Advising on and drafting employment contracts to ensure legal compliance.
Representing clients in disputes over issues like unfair dismissal, discrimination, or harassment.
Advising on the legal process of redundancies, termination, and wrongful dismissal.
Providing advice on employee rights, such as holiday pay, sick leave, and working hours.
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Negotiating settlements in cases of disputes or employment-related claims.
Advising on how to handle employee grievances and disciplinary procedures.
Helping businesses comply with laws when transferring employees as part of a business sale or restructuring.
The successful candidate:
Experience working with employers (and executives)
Proven success in handling tribunal claims
Great team player with strong client skills
Open to working across offices and supporting business growth
Good with financial management (time recording, billing)
Trade union experience is a plus, but not required
