Construction Associate

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester who are looking for a Construction Associate to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and reviewing contracts between contractors, subcontractors, and clients.

• Resolving disputes related to delays, payments, defects, or safety.

• Advising clients on legal issues like zoning, permits, and regulations.

• Representing clients in court for construction-related disputes.

• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and building codes.

• Managing risks to avoid legal issues and potential lawsuits.

• Conducting legal research and preparing documents like memos and briefs.

• Collaborating with industry professionals to solve legal problems during projects.

• Opportunities to work on a diverse workload, including engineering plants (e.g., energy and power), process plants in manufacturing, and built infrastructure.

The successful candidate:

• NQ - 2 years PQE with a track record in non-contentious Construction law.

• Ability and enthusiasm to take initiative and deliver high-quality work.

• Experience within a well-recognised international, national, or regional practice.

• Great team player with strong client skills.
