A highly reputable Local Authority in the Home Counties is seeking a Committee and Electoral Services Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and growing team on a full-time basis. It is a hybrid working position with working from home available.

The Committee and Electoral Services Manager role

Key duties of the Committee and Electoral Services Manager will include:

  • To manage and deliver all aspects of electoral registration and elections administration for the Council, meeting the standards set by the Returning Officer, Electoral Commission and Cabinet Office
  • To manage and deliver all aspects of committee functions, ensuring that meetings are effective, transparent and compliant with regulations and the Council's Constitution
  • To manage a small team of committee and election officers

About You

The organisation is looking to hire a Committee and Electoral Services Manager who demonstrates:

  • Significant experience managing local government committee and election teams
  • A track record of high performance in a demanding role
  • Experience of working in a political environment is vital
