We are recruiting for a locum Childcare Legal Assistant on behalf of a London Local Authority. The successful candidate will join a reputable team who are known to provide great opportunities for development and progression.

The full-time locum assignment will begin on a 3-month initial contract, with a view to extend beyond this, and requires office attendance twice per week. The new Childcare Legal Assistant will be joining a large team of Lawyers, and two other Legal Assistants, who are all excited to welcome a new member.

Responsibilities of the Childcare Legal Assistant:

The successful Childcare Legal Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the team of lawyers by assisting in managing busy caseloads of care proceedings and pre-proceedings
  • Preparing bundles for court
  • Drafting court applications and letters under the supervision of solicitors
  • Dealing with police protocol requests

The successful Childcare Legal Assistant will benefit from:

The Childcare Legal Assistant role would be a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their existing skills and experience.
