Capital Actuary sought after by a global Non-Life (re)insurer. Our client are looking for a nearly/newly qualified Actuary experienced in Non-Life Capital, to join their Strategics Analytics team as a Capital Actuary.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the inner workings of different Capital Modelling teams across the globe. The Group Internal Capital Model is used purely for strategic purposes, therefore there is no external regulatory reports or submissions involved.

Responsibilities of the Capital Actuary:

  • Supporting the parametrisation and validation of the Group Internal Capital Model.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders across the business regarding risk profiles, helping to the calibrate the Group Internal Capital Model.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to wider Capital Modelling Teams across the Group.

Key Experience of the Capital Actuary:

  • IFoA Qualified (or equivalent) with 3+ years of Non-Life Capital experience.
  • Experience using programming languages such as Tyche, VBA and/or R desired.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
