Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fundraising and initiatives stem naturally from our core values – and we are passionate about how our business can make a real, positive difference to the community and businesses around us.
Since our formation in 2002 we have worked with local and national charities, raising funds and supporting causes very close to our heart. As a business we are fully aware of the benefits that come with a well planned and executed CSR strategy, but we also want to show that we genuinely care about helping people – and we want our initiatives to demonstrate this.
We help people find their dream career every day, but also recognise that it is equally as important to help others and support the communities where we work. We feel a great sense of pride when our people come together and help us celebrate and support worthwhile causes throughout the UK.
To drive our CSR efforts forward, our team have devised several key strategic objectives to guide us toward our goals. These include:
Additionally, each year we actively encourage our employees to get involved in our ‘paid time off for charitable commitments’ where each member of the business is given a day of annual leave to support a charity or cause of their choice.
"I am incredibly proud to be the Board sponsor of the CSR Committee here at Sellick Partnership. The most rewarding aspect for me is engaging the business in fundraising and charitable initiatives to contribute and make a difference with local and national charities. A crucial element of corporate social responsibility is facilitating employees to engage in the local community; employees want to give back and have the opportunity to do so. Our initiatives are very accessible to allow our employees to contribute in a way that best suits them! Our Manchester office is partnering with Wood Street Mission this year; this has meant that together we have been able to plan our fundraising events for 2025 and really support their fantastic projects throughout".
We are committed to supporting our local communities through improving employability skills and reducing worklessness through the delivery of employability workshops. We work with our clients and partners to deliver these workshops to their service users or students across organisations including Universities, Colleges, Housing Associations and Professional membership bodies.
Below are some recent examples of employability workshops we have delivered across the UK. If you are interested in partnering with us, please contact us today.
From bake sales, to sporting leagues, awards ceremonies and book collections, here is a flavour of the things we have set up as a business:
In December 2024, employees from all of our offices got involved in Christmas Jumper Day - raising money for each of our office chosen charities.
Some of our team in Manchester spent time volunteering at Wood Street Mission, helping families shop for Christmas as part of their wider Christmas Campaign.
Our Newcastle office held a food collection to support their Crisis at Christmas campaign - essential food items and supplies were supplied to individuals and families in need during the festive season.
Members from the Legal team in our Manchester office volunteered an evening of their time at the Carols by Candlelight concert which was open to the public, kindly organised by Henshaws.
In October 2024, employees from across our offices participated in a Halloween fancy dress initiative this year, with each office raising money for their chosen charities!
In October 2024, some of the team from our Derby office attended the annual me&dee 'This is me (&dee)" Charity Ball, which raised an incredible £17,544 for the charity.
Across the month of October, several employees from our Manchester office volunteered at Mustard Tree, a charity that combats poverty and prevents homelessness.
In October 2024, our Derby office held another clothes collection/donation but this time in aid of the Salvation Army, proudly collecting and donating over three bags to the charity.
We celebrated Sustainability Week in partnership with our parent company, Samsic. We held a meat-free lunch, a clothes swap, biodiversity image challenge as well as 10k step challenges.
At Sellick Partnership, we are committed to sustainability and responsible business practices. Over the past 12 months, we have dedicated significant effort to conducting a thorough review of our carbon footprint, in collaboration with our parent company, Samsic. This review has provided us with valuable insights into the environmental impact of our operations and has laid the groundwork for identifying key areas where we can reduce emissions and improve sustainability practices. By taking these important steps, we aim to not only enhance our environmental performance but also lead by example in fostering a more sustainable future for our employees, clients, and communities.
In September 2024, we participated in Sustainability Week as part of Samsic's wider initiative and employees across each of our offices got involved in:
Corporate volunteering not only helps address community needs but also fosters a sense of teamwork and corporate social responsibility among employees. We recognise this, and as part of our wider CSR strategy, we actively encourage our employees to get involved in our ‘paid time off for charitable commitments’ where each member of the business is given a day of annual leave to support a charity or cause of their choice. Members of our team across the business volunteered 90 hours in 2023, and almost tripled this in 2024, having volunteered 241 hours which included (but weren't limited to):
Find out more about our Manchester Professional's Football League (MPFL) which is in it's 15th year.
Find out more about our Midlands Charity Football Tournament (MCFT) which is in it's 15th year.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is vitally important to us and we firmly believe that every employee should be able to have their input in the charities, causes and initiatives that we support. That is why we have appointed our CSR Committee to lead and champion our charity fundraising and initiatives on a daily basis.
Since first establishing, giving back to the community has always been a priority for us. We work with a range of regional and national charities across the UK, and we encourage all of our staff to get involved as much as possible.
We actively support the community through a number of sporting initiatives across the UK which include a cricket and a football league, two established football tournaments and a range of fundraising activities organised by our regional offices.
